What keeps you in Sioux Falls? My commitment to serve people with  pride and integrity through the real channel of Karl’s TV – Your service dealer since 1956.

Who was your Shrine sponsor, when did you join, and why did you become a Shrienr? Tim Clark – My mentor was a Shriner, Elmer Karl, and my Grandfather so I knew it must be a good decision.

What is your favorite part of being a Masonic Shriner? Everystuff! Wish I would have done it 20 or 30 years earlier. Relationships are “Spectabular” and people are “Fantabulous”.

Tell us about your time as our Public Relations Chairman: Starting in late 2005 I was an Potes Aide for Illustrious Sir Roxy Laur and that was the catapult and in late 2006 Illustrious Sir Bruce Wallin asked if I would do PR and it was a blast!

What units and clubs have you been and/or currently are a member? My home unit is Clowns  and some clowns don’t even know my real name. I sang with Chanters for a brief bit, Hillbillies, Diretor Staff, and Shutterbugs.

What committees and roles have you been a part of over the years? And what was your favorite memory? PR Committee, Circus Committee, Potes Party Committee,  5 Year Strategy Committee 2007-2012

How does your lady feel about your Shrine involvement? She has supported the fraternity 100% and has formed wonderful relationships as well.

Describe El Riad Shrine in five words: Engaged, Fun, Integratable, Family, Winners

What would you tell shriners and their families about joining our family, fraternity and philanthropy? I wish I would have done it sooner, is the strongest statement as our time is our most valuable assest and I wish I could have invested sooner as the ROI is so high!

What else would you like to share with our Cactus readers? We have the most engaged units that can compete on every level of the fraternity, and be a leader in the fraternity and the Fraternity looks to El Riad for ideas, support and the answers to have and what’s next. We have the greatest Temple in all of Shrinedom!
