2020 Patient Christmas Party
We would like to thank all the volunteers that help out with the Patient Christmas Party every year. We can’t begin to tell you how much fun it has been to see all the kids faces and the joy they experience from this one event.
We would also like to thank all the units, Lewis Drug, and especially all of you that have donated your time and money to this great cause.
If you have never come to the party, you don’t know what you’re missing. To see the kids smiling and having a good time, makes all the time and effort worthwhile. They are the reason we do what we do.
This year with COVID-19 and all the craziness going on, it has turned all of our lives upside down. There are rising cases in the community and events being canceled daily. We cannot risk having all our patients together in one place, so we are sadly cancelling the party.
We know it will be hard as we have kids that search out people like “Sticky the Clown” to go shopping with every year. And Nobles love the opportunity to find kids they may have been a roadrunner for in the past.
Santa is always a big hit, but he will be there in spirit.
So even though we won’t be having a party, we are still going to bring Christmas to the patients!
We are asking all units to help out so we can pull this off. The committee with be putting together and delivering gift bags to the kids and their families with toys, hats, gloves, color books, candy etc.
It will take a group effort to pull this off and we have no doubt we will knock it out of the park!
Sandra and I have enjoyed chairing this great event the past few years but it is time we step down and pass it to Robin and Kevin Tomshack, They have been helping with the event for many years and we have no doubt they will be great at it. Thank you Robin and Kevin!
We all look forward to when things are back to normal and we get to go shopping with the kids again! Thank you all for your help, support and Merry Christmas.
