I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer but boy it sure did go by fast! The leaves are starting to turn which means our Fall Ceremonial is coming up November 5, 2022 along with our Ladies Luncheon. We wanted to inform everyone the Potentate Jim Slater has made it as no cost to the Ladies so please be sure to let your Ladies know and if they know of anyone who are widowed, they are more than welcome to attend as well. Please have them RSVP so we have a count for the caterer. Also, if you know any of the new members, please let them know they are welcome to come to the Ladies Luncheon and to RSVP by calling the Shrine office so we know how many for the caterer. I am looking forward to the Fall Ladies Luncheon to visit with the Ladies of the Shrine and welcome the newcomers so please make them feel welcome, ask them to sit at your table so they get to know the ladies of the Shrine and answer any questions they may have. It can be overwhelming so please make them feel welcome to this great organization and be sure to mention our Wednesday night social which is a great way to meet more ladies of the Shrine! As this is my first year as well it has been important for me to be sure the new ladies coming in feel welcomed, it can be very overwhelming especially in the beginning!
One of the things I have thoroughly enjoyed was getting the Wine Tasting Event off the ground and boy we sure did!! Our first Wine Tasting we held in May with the pairing of cheese with the wine selections was a huge success! We had over 40 attendees, can you say WOW?!! Then our second Wine Tasting was held in August with the pairing of fruits with our wine selections. We had 35 attendees, again WOW!! I have been taken aback as to the amazing turn outs for these events of coming together for fun, laughs and of course some delicious wines. I also want to thank the ladies who were able to help with each event so they would go off without a hitch and they certainly have!! We do have one more event for this year in November talking about pairing wines with your holiday meal, desserts so keep your eye out for that upcoming date! A special thank you to Kim Thompson, Rhonda Denney, Bobbi Schuety, Marla Richard, Lora Hayes, Rachel Corbett, Laura Brown, Sandra Haase for helping with decorating, set up, and for all the other things were taken care of! I hope I didn’t miss anyone but I do appreciate each and every one of you, I couldn’t have done it without you, so thank you!!
I am so excited for the Masquerade Party that is coming up November 12 so Ladies get your best dress and mask and come have some fun! If you bring a non-Shriner couple or single person you will receive four free drink tickets to share with them, so bring your friends and have a blast!! Dressing up is optional so come be part of the party!! What better way to show them we like to have fun!!
