Rickshaws

This unit meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Welcome to the Shrine! As you know there are unlimited opportunities with various units of the El Riad Shrine. We invite you to take the time to explore what each unit has to offer. Each unit is unique, yet serves the same purpose – to help support the El Riad Shrine and the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals.

We especially want to welcome you to check out the Rickshaw Unit and what we have to offer. 

The Rickshaws are an oriental themed unit that participates in numerous parades throughout the year. We typically participate in four to five parades each summer. Our unit has been a parade favorite as we are very unique and offer a lot of crowd involvement. We use motorized and non-motorized rickshaws, numerous gongs that children love to bang, and our feature attraction, Puff the Dragon.

The Rickshaws also host a variety of family functions, parties, and a dance in September. Of the many El Riad Shrine units, the Rickshaw Unit is a fast growing unit and has welcomed many fun, interesting, ambitious “guis” the last few years. We invite you to check us out and if you have any questions at all, please feel free to call Michael Collins, Emperor Rickshaw Unit, at (605) 336-3248.   

Join us at our next meeting, the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at El Riad Shrine to meet the Rickshaw Guis! We meet at the shrine the first Tuesday of every month by the Oasis bar. We hope you to see you there!
