WOW, how did the summer go by like a speeding train carrying El Riad into Fall. What a year so far with a great circus, all the units parading, Imperial being close by in Minneapolis and Midwest in Green Bay, WI. El Riad is a very busy Temple of Fun and Fellowship.
November is a full month of Shrine activity starting off with Fall Ceremonial Saturday on November 5, our opportunity to welcome new members and their family to this great organization. To all Units and Clubs please reach out to these new members to come check out your unit or club so they can see what you are all about.

Ladies, please contact Gail or Kent in the office to RSVP for the ladies luncheon, bring a Shrine lady along if you know of anyone that has not been for some time. Thank you to Bill Thompson 2nd Ceremonial Master for a job well done. Also, job well done by Dave Murphy and his Pote’s Aides for a great job serving refreshments to the membership transporting the ladies to and from the Luncheon also helping Lady Penny and the Divan Ladies serve the ladies at the luncheon. Steve Hauff, you and El Riad Culinary did a fantastic Job preparing the feast for lunch and light hors d’oeuvres. I can not forget Ritualistic, and the Director Staff for their performances, great Job gentlemen.
Get your best outfit on and come have an evening of fun November 12 for the Nobles Masquerade Party. Costumes are not required but you could win an awesome p+rize so come dressed for the party. Dance the night away with the Kickin’ Brass Band and Gavin Wigg leader of the band. There is a great meal being prepared by our own Culinary and Hors d’ oeuvres prepared by the Watertown Shrine Club. RSVP online with the QR code link or call the office to pay for the evening. The cost is $50 per couple or $25 for a single and bring a non-Shrine friend and get free drink tickets for you to share with your guest. This is a party you do not want to miss.
Calling all that love a party, before Thanksgiving the Clowns are having their Wednesday night social Thanksgiving Eve Party with Sugar Daddy on November 23. The bar opens at 4:30 so have a bite to eat and drinks. Band is from 7:00–10:00 p.m., bring your family for a great time and still make it home in time to get ready for Thanksgiving.
Ladies, on November 29, Lady Penny will be having another Wine Tasting and Pairing for the holiday. Tickets can be purchased online, check out the poster for the link to purchase your ticket for this fun evening.
I hope you all ordered your greenery from Bethel 38 for your holiday center piece, front deck or your door. This a great fundraiser for these ladies. In my mind, it is important for us as Shriners to support our young folks that are part of our Shrine and Masonic future. These ladies work hard all year long on different projects, so it is great having them at the Circus, helping at the Children’s Christmas Party or inviting us all to take part in their Fathers/Daughters which, by the way, is February 17, 2023 so put that on your calendar. All you dads prepare for a fun night of dancing with your daughter, granddaughter or niece.
Save the date for Sunday, December 4, and our Children’s Patient Christmas Party for a fun filled day of games, food and just a load of fun with our patients. For them they can forget about their problems whatever they are and have a great day. The planning has started and we are always looking for members and family to help in any way so please contact the committee. If you have never been apart of this fun day, you will be hooked once you are part of the crazy fun. Santa, face painting, food, games, you name it, we have fun stuff for the kids to keep busy with including the shopping at Lewis Drug!
We are all part of Membership so bring a friend to an event, Wednesday night social or a rush party that is our job to grow this fun place that helps kids!!
