two-day polka party was held at Noble Mike Simon’s farm in 2019 that yielded $1,500 in donations that was given to Shriners Hospital.

The party celebrated Mike’s 50 years of entertaining others through music. There were four Polka Bands providing the entertainment for the two-day event. The bands included Wendinger Band from New Ulm, MN; Matt Hodek and the North Dakota Dutchman from lanok ND; Terry and the Travelers from Baltic SD, and Malek Fisherman Band from Duncan, IA.

It was two days of fun with 275 people attending on Friday and 425 people on Saturday. It included a potluck supper and a hog roast. There were free refreshments both days. The open bar was tended by members of the Gopher Shrine Club from Windom, MN, which resulted in the $1,500 funds contributed to the Shriners Children’s.
