And so ALL children with conditions of the bones, muscles, and joints are invited to a FREE orthopedic screening on Saturday, May 13 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Orthopedic Institute in Sioux Falls. Find out if your child will benefit from our specialized care. Second opinions are also welcome.

When should you refer a child to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Twin Cities?

Chief of Staff, Dr. Cary Mielke, recommends that children up to the age of 18 with treatable orthopaedic conditions be referred.  Second opinions are also available. Fractures must be stabilized prior to referral. We accept most major insurance carriers including Medicaid and our patient base includes those who are insured and uninsured. No child is turned away due to financial reasons. Travel assistance is also available if needed.
